Wedding Wednesday with Safari Ltd. #DragynSteen #LoveSafari #WeddingWednesday

Disclaimer/Disclosure: I was given dragons from Safari Ltd to use in DIY wedding projects. Any and all opinions and the resulting projects are my own.

Hey guys and dolls! Welcome to the first of many projects you'll see that involve me teaming up with our friends at Safari Ltd. to make my wedding happen. I still have a lot of work to do and dragons to add to projects. I decided to start with one of the bigger projects and that is a centerpiece.

Now here's the deal. This is just a mockup using the supplies I had and an idea. As you will see in the video at the bottom of this page I am still working out details. I love the simplicity of this centerpiece idea and that the dragon is the focal point. My issue is that I feel like it needs SOMETHING. I am thinking about adding glitter or paint to the glass container I have.

I should explain that I have several glass containers from a thrift store to use as part of the centerpieces. My mom got them. They are various shapes and sizes because I love the shabby chic style of things and it makes it way more personal for me. The problem is that the same reason I love the different shapes and containers may also be the reason my wedding lacks continuity. So now I wonder if I should paint them wedding color or in glitter to make something more unified. I'll let you know what I come up with.

As for the Dragons, these little guys are PERFECT! They add the right touch to my wedding and make a great focal point (I said that already). They are a great size. Visible enough from the center of a table but not so big as to take over the look. They are all unique too so no two centerpieces will look alike. I love that!

I still have several more of these to come up with and ideas of how everything should look. By the time we are done we will have 7 centerpieces (at minimum), a cake topper, boutonnieres, sash pins and gifts for the bridal party all with Safari Ltd Dragons. I'm excited! What do you think? What would you add or change?

  1. If they're gonna have flowers in them the flowers will tie them all together..Or maybe dip the rim in fine glitter like they do the rim of a Margarita glass in salt?

  2. I like Heidi's idea. Glitter only improves things...as for the centerpieces themselves, I love it. Great idea...
