Wine Wednesday: Jersey Devil Honey Wine

As usual Valenzano Winery has NO clue I am writing this review and all opinions are my own. I love my state. I am a Jersey girl born and bred and PLEASE know that no one I know acts like Jersey Shore.

With that said I love featuring local wines. Jersey Devil Honey Wine might be as Jersey as it gets! Honey is actually common in farmers markets near me. And of course the title doesn't hurt.

As for the flavor it tasted like honey. I know we are all shocked. But it tastes like drinking a spoonful of honey. Well it's a bit more mellow than that but still you taste honey. Which means it is very sweet (someone remind me to do a dry wine soon). It is golden and color and I almost want to say golden in flavor. It's best served cold. As it warms the flavor is syrupy to me.

I think Jersey Devil Honey Wine would be best paired with a fruit salad or fruit cocktail. Also a batch of strawberries would taste really good with this!

How are you all liking the Wine Wednesdays? What do you want to see next? Wine accessories? Beer? Mocktails? I want to hear from you!

  1. Well it looks very wicked cool! But that much honey makes me a bit wary! Love wine though, so I'm trying to imagine how that would taste.
