And the Toy Fair fun continues! I love Hallmark. As you guys and dolls know they made an appearance recently as a part of the For the Love of series. Well I got to spend some time with them at the Toy Fair and WOW do they have some fabulous (and ridiculously cute) stuff lined up.
There are 2 things Hallmark showed me that I was particularly in love with. And I think you will love them too!
First up were the "Be a Part of the Story" books. I adore products that get kids involved and allowed them to be a part of the magic. And this is that only more! While I was at the Toy Fair I got to see this Batman book in action.
When you read the special highlighted phrase the character talks to you. No Batman doesn't just read the next part of the story to you. He talks TO YOU! It's so fun! It's like you are on the case with Batman helping him save the day. How you respond to the character can completely change the story.
Next up on the interactive kid (me) fun are the appropriately named "Interactive Story Buddies". As kids (me) read the book the buddy will respond to key phrases by singing, talking or barking. The "buddy" is an adorable plush that can go with your kids every where and snuggle with them at night.
But let's say your in the car or your kids aren't great at reading yet. No problem! Your story buddy comes with a CD that will read the story to your kids. And the buddies respond to the CD as much as they respond to you. Also one interactive buddy comes with one book but works with others in their series! Which is means no buddy is a one hit wonder.
I think both of these are perfect for starting your kids' love of books. They can be a part of the story and let their imaginations take flight!
