The Toy Fair is the biggest event in the Toy Industry. It has a history that spans over a hundred years! One thousand toy companies are going to converge in one place showing off over a hundred thousand products! Think this isn't important? Have you ever heard of Silly Putty or Mr. Potato Head? Ever played with Barbies or a Tickle Me Elmo? All of these famous toys that were such a part of our childhood all debuted at the Toy Fair!
So why does this have anything to do with the Dragyn's Lair or our beautiful heroine DragynAlly? Because this year she's spreading her wings and invading the Fair!
To bring you the reader's even better reviews of such great new Toys and Gadgets Dana will not only trolling the entire convention but she also has appointments with several toy companies... you know that you've heard of Crayola, TMNT, Hexbug, Bandai, Mattel. And add to that several displays and parties with people from all around the world! And she'll be happy when she gets back to to tell you all about it!
And don't worry boys and girls. Just because the Dragyn's away doesn't mean that we're not going to play! I, Dr. Fronkensteen, will not only have guest articles on the blog but will be baby-sitting the page and social media. Who knows the kind of fun that we'll have together?

I worked for a toy company for 21 years (but was laid off in 2007) in the Sales department, and I was fortunate enough to been allowed the opportunity to attend a couple of the Toy Fair shows in New York (as well as in Dallas). I cannot even begin to tell you how many toy companies attend this showing - with each company presenting their new line in their "suite" within the Toy Building. It was great being able to get a view of all the new toys before they hit the stores!
ReplyDeleteWOW! these is so interesting! my daughter will surely love to go Toy Fair! I'm sure her favorite toy characters will be there! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be really interested to see what you bring back from the meeting with Crayola. We've been doing a lot more art projects to get prepared for Kindergarten and it's always been a favored brand in the house.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun to attend. My grandchildren would love it.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I love toys even at my age. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun!
