For the Love of Geeks #FortheLoveof #Giveaway


Hey guys and dolls! And welcome to the LAST of the For the Love of giveaway series!

HerUniverse (is it one word or 2?) literally rocks my geeky life!!! Really. Both the company and it's fabulous founder Ashley Eckstein make me unbearably happy. Why you ask? Because Ashley realized that the geek girl market had a huge hole in it and she filled it! (Also met Ashley at comic con and she called me beautiful and that was awesome!) But with all of this you know what I have to say...

Disclaimer: I was given a Valentine's item of my choosing to review. I picked the Star Wars tshirt. All opinions about the shirt and HerUniverse et all are completely my own.

So I love this shirt! I really do. It is adorable and comfortable. And it is filled with geeky Star Wars insider jokes. Which I love! But why read all about what I love when you can watch my video review?! I'll wait...



So what did you think? Ok I look awesome in a hot but focus on the shirt! It was worth a bit of embarrassment to tell you all how I really feel about this shirt. My favorite thing is that Ashley teamed up with Anne Convery to spoof off of the posters that say things like "you are the peanut butter to my jelly". And what they came up with was a fab series of shirts that make being a geek awesome.

Of the you are the _____ to my ____ comparisons I think you are the C3PO to my R2D2 is my favorite. The rest are still very awesome but that pair was inseparable! The comparisons are sweet and romantic in a way that a geek (I use that word a lot) like me can appreciate.

I love the simple and clean design of the shirt too. Just black with the words written out on it. I plan on wearing it with a skirt and knee-high red Doc Martins but it goes with everything! The white lettering is clear and easy to read. Which is perfect because people will be stopping you to read you.

The only bad thing about this shirt I can see is people wanting to steal it off my back! But before you take mine how about you try to win one of your own? Rules in the rafflecopter. May the force be with you!

  12. I absolutely love your use of "geektastically cute" because that is just what this is! I have been a BIG fan of HerUniverse from day one, and I think you were spot on in saying they make great, comfortable geek clothing for women. It is about time us Geek Girls get to represent what we love and still look feminine and cute, no more just mens shirts.

    Aw...I wouldn't compare my hubby to C3PO. C3PO's kind of obnoxious. I would say I could be an Ewok and think he's some sort of god, but that would be sacriligious. ;-)
