Packing for Your Disney Vacation

Hey Guys and Dolls! This right here is a blog post to distract me from actually packing! I know sad but true. But I wanted to ask you- in the vain hope that you might leave a comment or 2- a couple of Disney vacation packing questions... Ready?

  1. What are you must haves? I personally need a bath and body travel set so I smell good. :-)
  2. What are your can live withouts? Yeah I got nothing.
  3. How many pairs of shoes do you bring? This trip I am up to 4 pairs!
  4. How many outfits do you bring? This trip 9 days at least 9 (most likely more) outfits.
  5. Do you have a bag just for the parks? Was thinking of doing the parks bagless.
  6. Do you bring dress up clothes? This for me would be a trick question!
  7. What kind of toiletries do you bring? The basics plus some makeup and the bath and body stuff.
  8. How much room do you leave for souvenirs? Not enough!
  9. Ever over pack? DUH!
  10. Any tips for me? PLEASE!

  1. 1. What are you must haves? Stuffed cat, purses, suglasses, contact solution, bodyglide
    2. What are your can live withouts? I never have room for my luggage scale
    3. How many pairs of shoes do you bring? Usually 4ish, but I often end up leaving a broken-in pair behind
    4. How many outfits do you bring? One per day, at least
    5. Do you have a bag just for the parks? I usually bring at least two (in my defense, I have a cranky spine)
    6. Do you bring dress up clothes? Not usually, but I did last trip because of Jiko+Palo. DCL tip: Carry on anything you need for that night-my suitcase did not reach my cabin until 8pmish (and I saw it in a big room when I got lost)...I had Palo my first night and I was glad to just need to change my shirt.
    7. What kind of toiletries do you bring? contact solution, sunscreen, lotion, toothpaste, conditioner, shapoo, hair product
    8. How much room do you leave for souvenirs? Whatever my suitcase can unzip to fit. However, in December Santa gave me free reign at DTD and the outlets, so I was the fool carrying the HUGS WDW shopping bag as my carry-on. Oops. I was embarassed to be seen with myself.
    9. Ever over pack? Yes
    10. Any tips for me? Pack everything you need for your first night on DCL in your carry on. I felt like a weirdo lugging my little suitcase around the boat, but I was glad to have my clothes & meds.

  2. A power strip or power squid, especially for a cruise if you have lots of electronics/batteries to keep charged.

Extra batteries, memory cards and chargers

Duct tape you never know what you might need to hold together.

Layers are great to adjust to the inside cold due to AC and warm outside

Typically bring an extra duffle bag tucked inside suitcase to bring stuff home

  3. 1. What are you must haves? Socks...lot's of clean socks. And a hat.
    2. What are your can live withouts? Body Glide or Non-Friction..it gets REALLY hot in WDW
    3. How many pairs of shoes do you bring? Girls and their shoes. Walking/Flips/Running/Dress...period (I am a guy)
    4. How many outfits do you bring? Less than you would think. Also, take a an extra bag for stuff to BUY and wear...
    5. Do you have a bag just for the parks? Bagless is great, but there are so many things that are needed.
    6. Do you bring dress up clothes? At Disney? Do you have Ressies at Victoria and Alberts
    7. What kind of toiletries do you bring? The basics + the body glide. A little foot powder as well as some lotion... Humid does not mean your skin doesn't dry out.
    8. How much room do you leave for souvenirs? See Above - EXTRA BAG (as in luggage)
    9. Ever over pack? Lol.
    10. Any tips for me? I would try to pack items that you can wear a couple of times with minimal cleaning/upkeep - I bring 2x the t-shirts and a couple of pairs of shorts/jeans. It's a theme park...everyone sorta is grungy, and if it's summer...your clothes ill be funky after 10 seconds of being outside. But then again...I'm a guy!

  4. Something we do on a Disney trip is take a small ice chest, if your driving. Fill it with snacks for the parks and breaks back in your room. Then when your ready to drive back home, fill it with your souvenirs and gifts for family and friends.
That way suit cases don't get so full you can't close them up.
    Have a great trip!

  5. one tip that I always recommend is to pack your clothes in the big ziplock bags. that way, it can act as a space-vac and you can save TONS of room. of course, I try to get everything in a carry on!

    have fun!!!
